Let me tell you a bit about me. I am a former French teacher, hence the “about moi.” I have worn many hats, as an investment professional, a teacher, a writer, and most importantly, a mom. Always, I have been a traveler. I invite you to see the little things about travel, the incidental occurrences that can actually be monumental. I’ve been around the block and am still walking. Come with me, and I will also go with you.
A mom of three, all now adults, my journeys have spanned decades. I may or may not share them in order. Our memories don’t work that way. They come and go when a catalyst shows up, and I look forward to reliving through my telling.

A tough first hour in Lisbon
I’ll write about big experiences, little happenings, unforgettable tidbits. My favorite thing about travel is the interaction with strangers who sometimes seem like friends for a few minutes. I often reminisce about conversations I have had with random people on an unfamiliar street in many cities, even in my own.
My hope is that you read these anecdotes, new and old, all of which have changed my life in some way. I have read many stories from travelers I have never met, and these stories created opportunities for me. I am inspired by the young adventurous nomads, who chronicle their journeys. As a woman who just celebrated a momentous birthday, I have a lot of catching up to do. Writing this blog, I suspect will give me even more courage than I have at this minute.
